Parks & Recreation

Weddle Covered Bridge at Sankey Park

Sweet Home’s parks are where everyday life happens - where kids play after school, neighbors gather, and people connect with the beautiful outdoors that make our community special.

From river access along the South Santiam to neighborhood playgrounds and community spaces like Sankey Park, our park system offers something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to walk, a spot to meet friends, or a place for your family to spend the afternoon, you’ll find it here.

We continue to invest in our parks based on community priorities by improving accessibility, expanding recreation opportunities, and maintaining the spaces that bring people together, using guidance from the resident-driven Park System Plan. We believe that our parks are what makes Sweet Home special and make our city Oregon at its best. We are always looking for park development opportunities to deliver excellent amenities to our residents and visitors.
